We started a Mandarin playclass with Claire last week and have learned a little song that begins with counting up to number 7. The other day at the dinner table, Claire repeated the words so perfectly, with the right tones and everything, that I ran to get the video camera. Wouldn't you know it, she didn't want to repeat the performance! Nevertheless, what we got instead was priceless:

oh come on Monica, be a sport! We'd love to see the belly rub!!!!! Just like a kid .....no,no,no ...kind of reminds me of that old cartoon where the guy swears the frog in the box can sing like crazy, but whenever he goes to show someone, the frog just looks froggy and croaks.
Claire, you big tease! That's so cute! It's good to see I'm not the only one with a singing frog. :)
I'd like to see the belly rub, too. I have a feeling Claire enjoys giving them!
I think she's turning the tables on you! Smart girl. Yes, it never fails that as soon as the camera appears they change their tune. I bet you've heard it non-stop since then!
