On February 9, 2005, we began our journey to adopt a baby from China. We've created this blog for friends and family to follow our journey to Claire and our lives following the adoption.

33 sleeps to go!
Wow, time is flying fast. It's already been more than a month since we received our referral and it is now less than a month (February 1) until we leave for China. Plus, I only have 10 working days left!

Hi Paul and Monica! Congratulations on your little one. I got your blog address from the new foi blog log -- you'll be meeting Claire on my birthday! (like Carolyn and Marvin, who I've also just 'virtually' met). I'm a long way from my Jordyn, but I think I'm going to have a really happy birthday this year, knowing that my fellow FOI-ers will be meeting their precious children on that day.

I've always loved photography. In high school and university, I took photography classes but ultimately chose a career in law and left my passion behind. Now that I'm a stay-at-home mom to two amazing kids, my passion in photography has re-ignited.
